1970 GTO Judge

Going out for another race against my bro's 69 GP
(the highways were clear).

I owned this car from 1972 to 1974. It came equipped with the standard RAIII 400, M21 trans, 3.90 posi, PS, PB, and AM radio. Modifications were very few, H-O Racing kits for the carb and distributor, 1.65 rockers and crimped rocker arm nuts. As you can see, in those days these cars were not considered something real special, otherwise I wouldn't have been driving it in the winter with snow and salt on the roads. By 1974 the body was so badly rusted out that it would require new fenders and quarters to make it nice. This is what happened to most GTOs driven in the Chicagoland area. Best E.T. was around 14.5 on a very slick track, with stock G70x14 tires. Mph through the traps was close to 100. |
